Nothing new has happened lately. But I have become very lazy at getting my homework done. Yesterday we were just finishing up the work we had not done yet. I am not sure what we will be doing today but I think I am done with all of the work. I have an AP Calculus test soon well on Thursday so I have to study a lot because there's a couple of formulas I need to know.

Our last activity was the Summer Story. It was easy all I used that was new to me was the Broadcast block to change the scenes. I used different characters so some of them had to either change costumes when the different scenes came or they had to hide or show in the different scenes. The background had to change to show the different scenes. There was also a dialog going on.

To do the alphabet project I learned how to use the Broadcast block. I also used the when clicked or when a letter is pressed on the keyboard. Then the letter would change costumes and would say something for 2 seconds. It was a bit difficult because some of the animated costumes wouldn't work.

I finally finished the baseball project and it actually wasn't that hard. I used the go to x_degrees and y_degrees block so that it would always start in the home base. Then I used the glide _secs to x_degrees and y_degrees. I also switched the costumes that way the sprite turned 90 degrees and I put wait_secs and again the glide block. And I put everything in a forever loop so it continues to go around the baseball field.

Yesterdays challenge was like a baseball game. We had to make scratch move from home to base 1 to base 2 and to base 3 back to home. I still haven't finished because I can't make scratch turn. I think I have to use the forever loop and the turn _ degrees but I can't get it how I want it to turn. I am not so sure how to do it.

In the Dialog Project, I learned how to make the scripts talk. I made a boy walk in the park. And all of a sudden his friend sees him and they have a conversation. The block you use to write a conversation is the say hello.

What do you remember about Scratch from yesterday?  What do some of the blocks do?

From the Name Project, I learned the simple steps for programming in scratch. I learned how to pick different sprites or how to upload them from my computer. I learned how to make the sprite move by using the green flag block, the forever block, and the move _ steps. You can also make it turn/spin or change colors.I learned how to make it bounce when it touches the edges. I learned how to upload music from mp3. I also learned how to make the sprites change costumes which makes it look like they are dancing.
